March is The Month of SMX for Fang Digital Marketing. And we’d love for you to come and join us for all the SMX action and insight – in San Jose, California and Toronto, Canada.
One week after playing a fun featured role at SMX West 2013 in San Jose from March 11-13, Fang Digital CEO Jeff Ferguson will head north of the border to play an in-depth and diverse part at SMX Toronto 2013.
Over the course of those two days, conference attendees can network, connect and participate in over 20 sessions across four tracks (SEO, Paid Search, SMX Advanced and Social Media & Canadian Issues), plus in-depth workshops and networking activities delivered by top industry professionals such as Ferguson.
Whether you’re new to search or an experienced Internet marketer…whether you run your own business or agency or are employed at a Fortune 500 company…you’ll find sessions and workshops that are perfect for you and your business goals. And an array of industry experts ready to assist you in your journey.
Ferguson, who founded and serves as acting CEO of Fang Digital Marketing, will serve as a featured speaker on a Paid Search Track panel entitled “Maximizing Google Paid Search Campaigns” during Day 1’s robust session schedule. From 1:30-2:20 p.m., Ferguson will join Zenith Optimedia Head of Search Kerstin Baker-Ash as one of two speakers on the panel, which will be moderated by Find Me Faster President Matt Van Wagner. The session will explore the wide range of ad opportunities Google now presents for advertisers – including ad extensions that expand a standard text ad and provide additional information such as location and social extensions.
Ferguson will also serve as Q&A Moderator on two separate Paid Search Track panels during the day.
The first, entitled “Creating, Testing and Optimizing Ads, or The Best PPC Ad Ever Written,” will run from 11:20 a.m. to 12:20 p.m., and cover all the important tactics and best practices – including keyword selection, topics, types of testing, demographics, interests and marketing – involved in writing the best PPC ads possible. Speakers will include WiderFunnel Founder & CEO Chris Goward, aimClear Online Marketing Account Manager Manny Rivas and DAC Group Digital Strategic Planner Kirsten Weisenburger. Van Wagner will once again moderate.
Later that afternoon, Ferguson will again play a Q&A Moderator role alongside Van Wagner in “Paid Search Advertising In A Multi-Device World”, set to run from 3:30-4:20 p.m. This session features a discussion of the issues marketers face in today’s multi-device, always-on world, as well as strategies and tactics you’ll need to succeed in this ever-evolving climate. Featured speakers will include Goward and Hanapin Marketing Account Director Jeff Allen.
On Day 2 of SMX Toronto 2013, Ferguson will serve as a featured speaker in a Social Media & Canadian Issues Track entitled “Social Sites You Shouldn’t Overlook”. Ferguson will join fellow speakers Takeshi Young, Technical SEO Project Lead for Become Inc., and Firestarter Social Media CEO Michelle Stinson Ross in this session, which explores how lesser-known social media sites such as Pinterest, Instagram and Reddit can be smartly utilized to send you even more traffic and visitors. Debbie Horovitch, Social Media Concierge of Social Sparkle & Shine, will serve as moderator.
It all adds up to a busy agenda – a Fang Digital version of March Madness, you might say – but Ferguson is thrilled to play a prominent role at both SMX West 2013 and SMX Toronto 2013.
With over 17 years of online marketing experience, Ferguson has led online marketing efforts for companies ranging from Hilton Hotels to Napster, served as a consultant for everyone from eHarmony to Toyota, and was recently honored as one of PPC Hero’s “Top 25 Most Influential PPC Experts”. An energetic and experienced public speaker at events like SMX, CES, Ad:tech and Online Marketing Summit, Ferguson looks forward to helping companies grow their knowledge and customer bases at both SMX West 2013 and SMX Toronto 2013.
“Fang Digital Marketing has become a ‘go to’ company for PPC audits, so I’m really looking forward to applying a lot of that knowledge ‘live and in person’ for the SMX crowds in both San Jose and Toronto,” said Ferguson. “I’ve had the pleasure of working with Matt on other panels, and am very excited to get a chance to appear with so many other industry luminaries on stage this year.”
